27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Matt 19:4 Mark 10:6

7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
1 Cor 15:45
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.
9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Mt 19:5 Mark 10:7 1 Cor 6:16 Eph 5:31

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

8 And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
9 And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

The Gospel: Bridging the Sin Gap
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

JUSTIFICATION, FAITH AND SALVATION

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Hab 2:4 Gal 3:11

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Psa 14:1, 53:1 Ecc 7:20

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
Psa 14:2, 53:2

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Psa 14:3, 53:3

13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Psa 5:9, 140:3
14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Psa 10:7
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Isa 59:7 Prov 1:16

16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:
Isa 59:7
17 And the way of peace have they not known:
Isa 59:8
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Isa 59:8
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Gen 15:6 Gal 3:6 James 2:23

7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.
Psa 32:1
8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

I have made thee a father of many nations
So shall thy seed be.

22 And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
23 Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
24 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
Chapter 5
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Chapter 6
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Sin
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

The Remedy

Chapter 8
1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Psa 44:22
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our

7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Gen 21:12 Gal 3:16 Heb 11:18

33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
Isa 28:16, 8:14 1 Pet 2:6

Salvation

11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world

I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
Be not wise in your own conceits.
Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

The Law of Moses the Prophet
The 10 Commandments

Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet. Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matt 5:43 Matt 19:19 Matt 22:39 Mark 12:31 Gal 5:14 Jam 2:8 Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Dt 5:18 Ex 20:7 Num 30:2 Dt 23:21 Lev 19:12 Lev 24:20 Dt 19:21 Thou shalt love thy neighbour Honor thy father and thy mother.
What Does It Mean That Jesus Died For Our Sins?

When Jesus Died on the Cross, God the Father unloaded His Fury, Anger, Wrath— PUNISHMENT (Isa 53:4-12, Isa 52:13-14) upon an Innocent, and SINLESS (1 Pet 3:18) Jesus (God's Son). On the Cross, God treated Jesus as if He had personally committed every Sin— by every Person, in the History of the World— those people who would ever Turn to Him for Salvation (Matt 4:17). God the Father treated Jesus as if Jesus had lived OUR Sinful Life on this Earth— so that God could treat those who would Repent & Believe the Gospel as if we had lived His PERFECT LIFE! Sin has to be paid for— Justice has to be served, to satisfy God's Righteous & Holy Anger towards Sin (Rom 2:5-11, Eph 2:3, Eph 5:6). Jesus became the SUBSTITUTE (1 Thess 5:9-10, 2 Cor 5:21) for ALL people— those people who would Turn from their Sins & Believe the Gospel (Luke 13:3,5, Acts 20:21, Acts 17:30-31, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Acts 20:21).

WHY DID JESUS HAVE TO DIE FOR OUR SINS?

God used the Substitutionary Sacrificial Death of Jesus to Demonstrate (Rom 5:8) for ALL Time His Incredible Wealth of Kindness— and His Infinite Love for us. He did so by using the Backdrop of Evil (2 Cor 4:6)— which then allowed God to HIGHLIGHT to ALL His Goodness & Mercy (Ps 23:6). In Eph 2:7 it says, "So God can POINT TO US in ALL FUTURE AGES as EXAMPLES of the INCREDIBLE WEALTH of His GRACE and KINDNESS towards us, as shown in all He has done for us who are united with CHRIST JESUS." God will Forever Receive GLORY & HONOR for all He has done for those who are in Christ Jesus (Rev 4:11, Rev 5:12-13). Jesus, who is RIGHTEOUS, HOLY, and JUST, DIED for the UNJUST. (NKJV - 1 Pet 3:18). Christ became a "CURSE" for us (Gal 3:13) in order that we could become "the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus" (NKJV - 2 Cor 5:21). In other words, we did a Crime, and Jesus stepped in, and Paid our Fine. This is such Good News. Mark 1:1 "This is the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God." (1 Cor 15:2-9). This is a Work of God's Infinite Love & Mercy towards us Sinners (1 Thess 5:9-10, John 3:16, Rom 5:8, Eph 2:1-8).

Take This Test Below-

W - "Would You Consider Yourself To Be A Good Person?"
ASK - Would you consider yourself to be a Good Person?" They Say Yes or No

D - "Do You Think You've Kept The 10 Commandments?"
ASK - "Do you think you've kept the 10 Commandments?" They Say Yes or No. YOU SAY -"Let me ask you about 4 of them.” Then you take them through 4 out of the 10 of God's Commandments (Exodus 20:3-17).
Lie
ASK - "Have you ever told a Lie?" They’ll Answer “Yes”
You Say "What does that make you–and me too?" They’ll Say "A LIAR"
STOLEN
ASK - "Have you ever Stolen anything? A paper clip, a pencil, have you stolen time from work...anything?" They’ll Eventually Say "YES" YOU SAY - "What does that make you?" They'll Say “a THIEF”
ADULTERY
SAY - Matt. 5:27-28 Jesus says, “If anyone even looks at a woman with Lust in his eye has already committed Adultery with her in his Heart.” ASK -"Have you ever looked at someone with Lust?" They Say - “YES” (Lust = Adultery)
MURDER
ASK- "Have you ever Hated anyone, or been really Angry? They say "YES"
SAY - 1 John 3:15 says, "Anyone who Hates his brother is a Murderer." (Hate & Anger = Murder)
Matt 5:21-22 Jesus says, "You have heard that our Ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’ But I say, if you are even Angry with someone, you are subject to Judgment! If you call someone an Idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in Danger of the Fires of Hell.”
ADMISSION
SAY - "So by your own Admission you are a: Liar, a Thief, an Adulterer (at heart), a Murderer (at heart)"

J - Judgment
SAY - Heb 9:27 says, “It is appointed for men to die once, and after this comes the Judgment.” So if God were to Judge you by His Commandments, would you be GUILTY or INNOCENT of breaking any of His Commandments?” They Say – “Guilty!”

FYI - James 2:10 "The person who keeps all of the Laws except one is as Guilty as a person who has broken all of God's Laws."
Judgment & Consequences For Sin Scriptures
SAY - Rev 21:8 says, “All Liars & Murderers will be cast into the Lake of Fire.”
1 Cor 6:9 "Thieves & Adulterers shall not inherit the Kingdom of God"
Heb 12:14 says, "Without Holiness no one shall see God!"
FYI - It Is Not Enough To Be A “Good Person” or Be Sorrowful For Sins - Give This Example:

If you were standing in a Court of Law and the Judge says to you “Okay, you Lied, You Stole, You Murdered, etc. any last words before I sentence you to “Jail” (Hell). And they say, “Judge, I’m Sorry, I Repent…I was a Good Person…I “Accepted” You!” The Judge would say back to them “You should have been Sorry & you should have been a Good Person, and you should have “Accepted Me and My Laws," but you’re still going to Jail (Hell)!”

2 Cor 7:10 says, “The kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.”

If They Should Say - "God is a Loving God, and would never send anyone to Hell"
SAY - "Should Murderers & Rapists be set free and go unpunished? A Just Judge punishes Crime (sin), only a corrupt Judge let's Murderers, and Rapists go free. God is that Just Judge. Also, God doesn't send people to Hell...people send themselves to Hell."

D - Destiny
SAY - "So knowing that you are GUILTY (and so am I and so is everyone else), according to the Bible Would you go to Heaven or Hell based on your Guilt, and what the Bible Says?” (Not based upon Jesus’ death on the cross…we’re getting to that.)Get them to understand the Bad News that we’ve all sinned and broken God’s Commandments…we all deserve Hell. Ezek 18:20 says. “The soul that sins shall die.”Rom 3:23 “All have sinned…” Rom 6:23 “Wages of Sin is Death…”
Grace To The Humble
After giving them the "Bad News" (Sin = Eternal Death) now they can better understand the "Good News"...otherwise we throw our “Pearls” (the Good News) before Swine (unrepentant hard-hearted people).

Matt 7:6 Jesus says, “Do not give what is Holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”

C.R.A.F.T.
Concern
ASK - "Does that concern you that you would go to Hell?"
You want them to be concerned, as we all should be concerned.

C - Cross
SAY - “Jesus did something really special for you so that we don’t have to go to Hell. We did a Crime (sin), and Jesus paid our Fine. Example: He (Jesus) walked into our Courtroom on this earth and told the Judge “I am an Attorney, and I sold everything I own to come up with this $100,000 fine….so I would like to pay the fine for (Name of Person) so that she/he can go free. She/He did a Crime, I want to pay their fine.”

Luke 13:3 Jesus says, “You will also Perish (Hell) unless you Repent of your Sins and Turn to God.”
Once we Repent & Trust in Jesus, he gives us that “Robe of Righteousness” (Isaiah 61:10) and we become Born-Again (John 3:3). Jesus took the Punishment that we deserve so that we could go free. This Free Gift (Eph.2:8-9) only applies to you personally if you ‘Repent & Trust in Jesus’. (Mark 1:15, Matt 4:17, Matt 18:3-4, Acts 17:30-31)

About God
His Existence | His Nature | His Justice
God's Existence
 "Who made God?"
To one who examines the evidence, there can be no doubt that God exists. Every building has a builder. Everything made has a maker. The fact of the existence of the Creator is axiomatic (self evident). That's why the Bible says, "The fool has said in his heart, 'There is no God'" (Psalm 14:1). The professing atheist denies the common sense given to him by God, and defends his belief by thinking that the question "Who made God?" can't be answered. This, he thinks, gives him license to deny the existence of God. The question of who made God can be answered by simply looking at space and asking, "Does space have an end?" Obviously, it doesn't. If there is a brick wall with “The End” written on it, the question arises, "What is behind the brick wall?" Strain the mind though it may, we have to believe (have faith) that space has no beginning and no end. The same applies with God. He has no beginning and no end. He is eternal.
The Bible also informs us that time is a dimension that God created, into which man was subjected. It even tells us that one day time will no longer exist. That will be called “eternity.” God Himself dwells outside of the dimension He created (2 Timothy 1:9, Titus 1:2). He dwells in eternity and is not subject to time. God spoke history before it came into being. He can move through time as a man flips through a history book. Because we live in the dimension of time, logic and reason demand that everything must have a beginning and an end. We can understand the concept of God's eternal nature the same way we understand the concept of space having no beginning and end - by faith. We simply have to believe they are so, even though such thoughts put a strain on our distinctly insufficient cerebrum.
Read our detailed answer: If God made everything, who made God?
 "Seeing is believing—if I can't see God, why should I believe in Him?"
Possible Response: "So if you can't see something, you don't believe it exists? Have you ever seen your brain? We believe in many things that we can't see. Have you ever seen the wind? Have you seen history? We see the effects of the wind, but the wind is invisible. We have records of history, but it is by 'faith' we believe that certain historical events happened. Television waves are invisible, but an antenna and a receiver can detect their presence. Do you know that you have a receiver? Your 'receiver' (your spirit) is dead because of sin (see Ephesians 2:1). You need to be plugged into the life of God, and then you will come alive and be aware of the invisible spiritual realm. Do you think that you have kept the Ten Commandments? Etc."

God's Nature
 "If God is perfect, why did He make an imperfect creation?"
The Bible tells us that the Genesis creation was “good.” There was no sin and therefore no suffering or death. Why then did God give Adam and Eve the ability to sin, knowing full well that they would sin and bring death and pain to the human race? Some believe that if Adam had been created without the ability to choose, then he would have been a “robot.” A father cannot make his children love him. They choose to love him because they have a free will. Others point out that humanity would never have seen the depth of the love of God, as displayed in the cross, unless Adam had sinned, and that fact could be one reason why God allowed sin to enter the world.
Also see our gospel presentation If God is all-knowing, all-powerful, and loving, would He really create a world like this?
God's Justice
 "God is unfair in that Hitler and a dear old lady (who never accepted Jesus) will both go to hell."
Sinners often accuse God of being unjust, because they assume that everyone will receive the same punishment in hell. God's judgment, however, will be according to righteousness (Acts 17:31). This verse shows that there will be degrees of punishment. See Mark 6:11.
 "Is God biased? How can He save some and not others?" Answer
 "God is all loving. He would never send me to Hell."

Possible Response: "Friend, God is not all loving. The Bible doesn't say he is 'all loving', It says that God is love. He's not a slave to love. The Bible sees that He's also just, holy and righteous. When people say that God is all-loving, they are implying that God is so loving that He wouldn't send people to Hell. Let me ask you a question. If a man sexually abused children, tortured them, cut their throats and said that he would do it again if he had half a chance, should a judge punish him? Of course he should. If the judge is a loving man, wouldn't he still punish that wicked person? Of course, and God will punish all wicked men, even though He is 'love.'
 "My god would never send anyone to hell"

Possible Response: "Do you realize that you are breaking the Second of the Ten Commandments by saying that? You have made a god to suit yourself. Your god would never send anyone to Hell, because he couldn't. He doesn't exist. He's a figment of your imagination. You have made a god you feel comfortable with. I did the same for many years before I became a Christian. You believe that because the god you have conceived in your mind has a low standard of morality. Did you know that the God of the Bible - the God you have to face on the Day of Judgment - commands you to be perfect? He is perfect, and He will judge you with a perfect Law that demands perfection."
(Also can be used to respond to "My God would never create hell", etc.)

About Sin and Humanity
 "I'm basically a good person."
If you can get your audience to admit that they have broken the moral law (ever lied, stolen, etc.) then they will be forced to realize that they are a lawbreaker. Or, if they say they used to break the law but no longer do, mention to them that time doesn't forgive sin. If a man commits sin on Monday, but on Tuesday he is kind to others, he is still a murderer. If a man lies and steals, unless he comes to the Savior, his sins remain with him until he stands before God in Judgment. See also "How good is good enough?" and "Are you good enough to go to Heaven?"
 "God made me like this. Sin is His fault!"
If this won't work in a civil court, it certainly won't work on Judgment Day. Even with today's crafty defense lawyers, it would take a rather moronic judge to fall for the old "God made me do it" defense. We are responsible moral agents. The “buck” stopped at Adam. He tried to blame both God and Eve for his sin, and it didn't work.
 "God made me a homosexual…"
Homosexuals argue that they did not make a conscious decision to be that way, so it must be natural. They are born that way-just as all of us are born with a sin nature and sinful desires (Ephesians 2:1-3). Tell them that it is natural for them, and for all of us, to be tempted to do things that God says are wrong. In the same way, pedophiles and adulterers (alcoholics, drug addicts, etc.) don't make a conscious decision to “choose” that self-destructive lifestyle; they simply give in to their sinful desires. However, although sin is natural for unbelievers, that doesn't mean God wants them to remain that way. God can set them free from their sinful nature (Romans 7:23-8:2), give them new desires (Ephesians 4:22-24), and help them withstand temptations (1 Corinthians 10:13).
Possible Response: "I too was born with homosexual tendencies… I was also born with a tendency to lie, steal, commit adultery and fornicate. It's called 'sin' and it's in every one of us." You can then proceed to use the law to awaken the conscience.
The Bible tells us that the Moral Law was made for homosexuals (see 1 Timothy 1:8-10). If you use the Law when you witness to them you won't even have to touch on their “sexual orientation,” and therefore be accused of hating homosexuals. The Law will show him that he is damned, despite his sexual preference. When he finds a place of true repentance and faith in Jesus, God will take away his unclean spirit and give him a new heart with new desires.
See: Can a gay person go to heaven?
 "Don't judge me! The Bible even says 'Judge not lest ye be judged."
The world often takes this verse (out of its context) and uses it to accuse Christians of being “judgmental” when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (see John 21:21-23, Romans 14:10, and James 4:11). He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother's eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment." If a man steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences. Chuck Colson said: "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It's knowing what should be tolerated - and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn't."
 "I was once a 'born-again' Christian. Now I believe it's all rubbish!"
Simply ask him the question, "Did you know the Lord?" If he answers, "I thought I did," gently say, "So you didn't. You had a false conversion. You were a stony-ground hearer who received the word with joy and gladness, but in a time of tribulation, temptation and persecution, fell away." If he answers the question with “Yes,” gently say, "So you admit that He is real and that you are in rebellion to His will."
 "Yup, I've broken every one of the Ten Commandments."
Do not take this statement to mean that the person has seen the gravity of their sinful state before God. It is often used as a way of throwing off conviction. Pharaoh said that he had sinned, but his repentance was superficial. Say to him, "Well let's take the time to go through them one by one and see if you have."
 "God can't forgive me. I've sinned too much!"
Nobody is too big a sinner. The love of God and the sacrifice of Jesus is capable of cleansing the worst of all sin. Even Hitler could have been saved if he would have turned to Christ. You have sinned the same as anyone else. It is just that your sins are yours. They aren't too big for God to wipe away. Sin has no power over God, only over you. Let me ask you something. Do you think murder and adultery are serious sins? Yes? Well, David, a man in the Bible who was called by God a man after His own heart (Acts 13:22), was a murderer and an adulterer. He even tried to hide his sin from everyone. But God knew his sins and exposed them. David repented and threw himself on the mercy of the Lord. God forgave him and loved him. God loves you and He will forgive you if you put your trust in Jesus and ask Him to forgive you of your sins (Rom. 10:9-10).
 “Morality is relative” or "There are no absolutes!"
An example conversation:
Larry: "I heard you say that pornography is wrong. I disagree."
Christian: "Why's that?"
Larry: "There's nothing wrong with it."
Christian: "Do you think child pornography is right or wrong?"
Larry: It's wrong."
Christian: "So you have drawn a moral line between what you think is right and what you think is wrong. At what age then does child pornography become respectable pornography? Is it when the child turns 14, 15, 16, 17 years old?"
Larry: "16."
Christian: "Can't you see what you are doing? You are judging whether something is morally acceptable by when it gives you pleasure."
Larry: "But…"
Christian: "God gave you a conscience. You know right from wrong. Isn't that true?"
Larry: “No.”
Christian: "So if someone steals your wallet you don't mind because you have no idea what's right and what's wrong?"
Larry: "Okay. So I know right from wrong."
Christian: "You are like a man who has removed the batteries from his smoke detector because he doesn't want it to alarm him. Listen to your conscience. It is trying to warn you of danger. If you don't repent and trust the Savior you will end up in Hell. On Judgment Day you will be without excuse. Jesus said, 'Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart. You are in big trouble."
Those who say that that there are no absolutes are often very adamant about their belief. If they say that they are absolutely sure, then they are wrong because their own statement is an absolute statement. If they are not 100% sure, then there is a chance that they are wrong and they are risking their eternal salvation by trusting in a belief that could be wrong.
About Jesus
 "How can you say that Jesus it the only way to God? How arrogant!"
Possible Response: "If I told you that there were other ways I would be lying to you. While you may think I am full of hatred or have no respect for other religions, we must look at what the Bible teaches. The Bible says, 'Neither is there salvation in any other. There is no other name under Heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.' Even if those of other faiths are sincere, what would happen if I sincerely believed that I was on a plane flying to Hawaii, but in truth I was heading for Afghanistan? You are forgetting that someone can be sincerely wrong. The only way to God is through Jesus Christ. There is one mediator between man of God, the Man Christ Jesus. Here's the Big difference between Christianity and other religions. Jesus said, 'The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins.' No religion can forgive sin - only Jesus …because of the Cross. The Bible also says 'Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved' (Acts 4:12), 'For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus' (1 Timothy 2:5). Do I believe they will go to Hell because of being a different religion? Only if they have broken the Commandments. If they are perfect in thought, word and deed on the Day of Judgment, they will be fine. If they have lied, stolen, lusted, fornicated, etc. they will be in big trouble - no matter how religious they are. The Bible says, 'Whoever transgresses, and abides not in the doctrine of Christ, has not God.' You preach tolerance of other religions, but do you practice that as well? Are you tolerant about Christianity? Are you tolerant of the claims of Christianity - that Jesus is the only way to God?"
 A Myth?—"I think that the Jesus we see portrayed today is probably the composite of more than one person—and embellished upon, as were King Arthur and Robin Hood." Answer

About the Church
 "Religion has caused more wars than anything else in history."
It is true that man has used religion for political gain. Hitler had “God with us” engraved on the belts of Nazi soldiers. America said, "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition." The law may even allow you to start the Christian Nazi Party, if you so desire. You can become a “reverend” for a few dollars through the tabloid classifieds and then further your political agenda with the world's blessing, no matter how much it smears the name of Christ. If Jesus told His followers to love their enemies, and someone puts a knife into someone's back in the name of Christianity, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that something isn't quite right. If we human beings can detect it, how much more will God? He will deal with it on Judgment Day.
 "If Christianity is true, why are there so many denominations?"
In the early 1500s, a German monk named Martin Luther was so conscious of his sins, he spent up to six hours in the confessional. Through study of the Scriptures he found that salvation didn't come through anything he did, but simply through trusting in the finished work of the Cross of Jesus Christ. He listed the contradictions between what the Scriptures said, and what his church taught, and nailed his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Martin Luther became the first to “protest” against the Roman church, and thus he became the father of the Protestant church. Since that split, there have been many disagreements about how much water one should baptize with, how to sing what and why, who should govern who, etc., causing thousands of splinter groups. Many of these groups are convinced that they are the only ones who are right. These have become known as Protestant “denominations.” Despite the confusion, these churches subscribe to certain foundational beliefs such as the deity, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "…the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal - the Lord knows those that are His" (see 2 Timothy 2:19).

Kingdom principles
Evangelism involves the proclamation and demonstration of God's reign, the Kingdom of God on the earth. The ministry of Jesus in signs and wonders was based on his relationship with the Holy Spirit who is creative, imaginative and inventive. Therefore, we should not try to reduce the ministry of Jesus to a group of simplistic techniques or formulas for the purpose of developing a healing ministry.
The Kingdom of God brings the reign of God into all of life, making all things whole. Healing demonstrates God's reign. The following points are some key principles for Jesus healing work.
1. Jesus began healing after his baptism and anointing by the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:21, 22; 4:1-19).
2. Jesus delivered all who came to him from every kind of sickness (Matthew 8:16; 15:30-31; 17:14-21; Mark 7:31-37; John 11:43-44).
3. The Gospel writers frequently note that Jesus healing works were motivated by compassion and pity for the sick (Matthew 9:36; 14:14; 20:34).
4. Jesus seemed to be more able to heal in the presence of faith in him and in his power to heal (Matthew 8:5-13; 9:2, 27-31; Mark 5:24-43; 9:14-29; Luke 4:23-28).
5. Jesus sometimes healed when he alone believed, but he was clearly limited by an unbelieving (negative faith) atmosphere (Mark 6:1-6; 8:22; Luke 4:23-28).
6. Jesus seems to have healed at all times, but as he flowed with the Spirit, he was apparently aware of times when the Spirit was especially ready to move in power (e.g. power of the Lord present to heal - Luke 5:17).
7. Jesus was always willing to heal those who came to him with faith (Matthew 8:1-4, 5-13; Mark 7:24-30).
8. Frequently the Lord would heal many people, one after another, in large meetings or gatherings (Matthew 3:23-25; 14:13-14; 15:30-31).
9. Jesus did not do miracles for those who only wanted to test him or to be entertained (e.g. the scribes and Pharisees, Matthew 12:38-42).
10. Resistance on any grounds to healing the needy grieved Jesus (Mark 3:1-6; Luke 13:10-17).
11. Our Lord used many patterns and methods in healing (Matthew 8:15-13; 14:34-36; Mark 7:31-37; 8:22-26; Luke 5:12-26; 6:6-10; 7:11-17; 8:42-48; John 9:1-41; 11:41-42).
12. Jesus most often healed in public, though sometimes he withdrew, especially in negative environments, to heal privately (Mark 5:35-43; 8:22-26; Luke 4:38-39).
13. Jesus often asked questions about the need for healing, indicating that (a) while he sometimes received words of knowledge, other times he did not, and (b) he wanted his focus exactly on target (Mark 5:1-13; 8:22-26; 9:14-29; 10:46-52).
14. Our Lord did not necessarily always equate sin and sickness (John 5:9-18; 9:1-3).
15. Sometimes Jesus had to pray more than once for the person in need to be healed (e.g. the blind man of Bethsaida - Mark 8:22-26) or had to continue to pray (e.g. Gerasene demoniac).
16. Jesus frequently delivered the demonized and healed them of related effects using various patterns (Matthew 12: 43-45; Mark 5:1-13; Luke 4:31-37, 40-41).
17. Very strong warnings were issued by Jesus against labelling healing in his name and by his Spirit as demonic in origin. Such words would blaspheme the Spirit and could move him to permanent wrath (Mark 3:19-30).
18. What Jesus saw the Father doing, he likewise did (John 5:19).
Kingdom authority
Through Jesus, the sinless Son of God, the authority or reign which was lost through our sin has been re-established for all who submit to God's grace and reign through faith in Jesus. These points outline the significance of Kingdom authority restored through Jesus.
1. Authority and power are often confused.
(a) Power (Greek dunamis) is might or ability, both inherent and spontaneous. It is often used for the word miracle (i.e. a work of power - Mark 6:5).
(b) Authority (Greek exousia) is the freedom and right to act (i.e. the right to exercise that power). Exousia can be delegated.
2. God has absolute authority; he is almighty (Luke 12:5; 1:51-52; Romans 13:1-6; Matthew 20:25-26).
3. Through creation God gave mankind relationship, identity, and position with himself. This gave us authority (Genesis 1;26-27; CF. Psalm 8:3-4, 6-8).
4. Through deception and sin, mankind was deposed and lost authority, and Satan became the prince, ruler and god of this world (2 Corinthians 4:4; John 8:34, 44; Luke 4:6).
5. Jesus was sent, as a man (the second Adam) to re-establish God's authority over the earth by disarming all powers and saving mankind out from under their authority (Luke 4:14-18; John 17:2; cf. 3:35; Matthew 7:29; 8:9; 9:6,8; 28:18; cf. Philippians 2:6-11; Mark 1:22, 27; 4:39, 41; Luke 7:1-17; John 12:31; Hebrews 2:14; Ephesians 1:20-23).
6. Having deposed Satan, Jesus reinstated those who he has brought into relationship with God through faith in him, and thereby gives us authority:
o to proclaim the good news, Our God reigns!
o to baptize and teach
o to drive out demons
o to heal the sick
o to speak in new tongues
o to rise the dead
o to disciple the nations
o to represent Jesus (saviour) to the world
(Matthew 10:8; 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-21; John 20:21; also 1 John 3:1; cf. 2 Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 2:4-6; Luke 10:19; Acts 1:8).
7. The authority to heal is exercised and released through certain premises. The neglect of the following premises results in a lack of authority:
o relationship with God
o faith in what God says and who Jesus is
o obedience to his Spirit
o submissive attitude
o having a servants heart
o faithful stewardship
o speaking the word of the Kingdom.
